Fantastic wine. Especially since it was sold for $5! Tropical flavors on the nose (peach, pineapple). Nicely balanced on the palate and not too sweet. Sirupy viscosity - almost like a desert wine.
Nice riesling! Review I read said bone dry...well, maybe not for me, but I like big reds. Very "riesling-like" aroma. Fruity-slightly floral. Sweet upfront, then tropical fruit and floral. Nice.
We served this at my sisters wedding (as well as the 2007, it was hard to find enough bottles locally), and everyone commented how wonderful this wine was. I received one comment that this wine was too dry, but otherwise all positive reviews were given from the guests. The demographics of the guests ranged from international jet setters to Texas farmers, so this really is a wine for everyone.
Interesting New World take on one of my favorite white wine grapes. Somewhat fuller bodied than a German riesling but still a fairly light wine. Floral, honey, peach, and apple notes were detectable. Off dry sweetness. This is a good wine and is definitely a good value for the price.

The 2010 Loredona Riesling shows delicate floral aromas of orange blossom, honeysuckle and white nectarine. On the palate, complex layers of fresh citrus fruit mingle with melon and spicy ginger. A well-balanced and light bodied wine, this Riesling has a refreshing entry and finishes with crisp, juicy acidity. Loredona Riesling is a great match for spicy Asian cuisine, a light tomato salad or braised ham. - WineryAppellation: Monterey, CaliforniaAlcohol: 12.0 % by VolumeResidual Sugar: 2.05 g/100mlTotal Acid: 0.57 g/100mlFinal Ph: 3.06Cases Produced: 18 ,000 ** SOLD OUT **
Rating: 85/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. While clean and lively, this firm, faintly sweet effort comes up a bit stinting in fruit, and its brief frontal notes of green pears and citrus too quickly fade while its finish is compromised by suggestions of both bitterness and heat.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

This California Riesling is full bodied and dry in style. Without being overly sweet, the flavors of the fruit really shine through. The wine has a fresh, lively bouquet, with all the notable characteristics of a fruit-driven Riesling. It is very fruity and floral, and agreeably elegant on the palate. This is an ideal example of a pure, dry Riesling, clean and focused. Serve with baked brie and sundried tomato pesto.
Wow. What a super Riesling at an everyday price. Shows a brilliant crispness and minerality that scours and cleanses the mouth, followed by savory citrus, green apple, spice, wildflower and honey flavors. But the finish is totally dry.
Winery Notes: Our vineyards are near Monterey's Pacific coast where the cool maritime climate allows the graps to develop vibrant acidity. We cold-ferment gently pressed grapes, then finish the wine without oak aging to reveal bright citrus and floral characters. Loredona Riesling displays crisp white peach and honeydew melon flavors. Enjoy with spicy Asian cuisine, sushi, and light salads.
