RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
Food Pairings for L'Oratoire de Chasse-Spleen Red Bordeaux Blend Moulis En Médoc
A somewhat closed nose with typical berry cordial scent that breaks through nicely once this dark, luscious liquid caresses the tongue. There are puckering tannins, but these are gentle and approachable now - with obvious potential for 5-6 years of bottle aging. Not as powerful and dense as the 2005 (to be expected), but a beautifully crafted, balanced and delicious wine. This well-regarded property just never seems to let you down. In my opinion, this wine is better than many 4th and 5th Growths of this vintage.
Red fruit nose with soft floral and anise notes. Red fruit continues across the palate. It is soft and elegant - a very easy-drinking wine. The finish is a little bit too tannic and firm right now, but that should smooth out with age. There's a reason Chasse-Spleen is seen as the best of Moulis-en-Medoc. The wines do not disappoint!

Good full red. Subtle aromas of currant and cherry. In a rather gentle, elegant style, with modest sweetness but good texture and breadth. The tannins turn a bit dry on the back. Stephen Tanzer's IWC. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2006 Chasse-Spleen 750ml
