User Reviews for Loosen Bros. Riesling Dr. L Riesling
Add your reviewFresh yet slightly sweet and thick, would be good crowd-pleaser at a Spring picnic or event, tastes of green apple, wet stone, and peach with a glycerin sheen, medium acid, medium body, with fruit lingering in a short-to-average finish. Nose of wet stone and fruit. I also liked the low alcohol of 8.5%, good for crowd control. Paired nicely with fresh fruit, a champagne mango from Mexico. Might serve best around 60 deg F.

Pretty disappointing. Yet another one of those american-style over-sweet Rieslings.
This wine has drinkability written all over it. The fact that it has a mere 8.5% alcohol level makes it popular as a summer quaffer. This pale gold off-dry Riesling has aromas of peach and lemon/lime. The wine contains a balanced mix of flavors between fresh lemon acidity, flinty mineral, some spiciness, and a hint of tropical fruit at the end.
Lime and slate on the nose, palate of lime juice, peach juice, and slate, with just a touch of sweetness and good acidity. Great with Thai food.
Nice Riesling especially for the price, about $11. I had this over a year ago at Thanksgiving and I still remember how smooth it was with such a pleasant sweetness that didn't go over the top. I will have to revisit this one soon. 4/5
