Longoria Tempranillo Santa Ynez Valley 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

The wine has medium dark ruby color. The aromas are of dried cherries, cocoa and oak vanillin. On the palate the wine is medium bodied with rich flavors of cherries and cocoa. The tannins are moderate, indicating the wine will benefit from several years of cellaring to smooth out the tannins.

A touch of toast and tar on the nose in front of red fruit notes of cranberry and red currant, dried herb and black pepper. Warm, silky palate on entry develops some edges in the mouth with earthy tar notes coming through alongside fresh red currant fruit. This is nicely balanced with medium tannins grabbing the mid palate before a creamy earthy finish. 91 pts
