Try balance, harmony and nature for starters. Surfing is part sport, part meditation and all working within, rather than against, nature. Winemaking? Pretty similar approach. Both surfers and winemakers reach the summit of their respective crafts when they attain an understanding of, and a respect for, the environment in which they work (and play). Adapting to their surroundings, they achieve peak performance, on the waves and in the vineyards.
Rich smoldering aromas of cherry, blueberry, and paprika. Mild tannin, Great BBQ wine!

External Reviews for Longboard Vineyards Syrah Russian River Valley
Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. Even if priced less than the winery's Mavericks Signature Series Syrah, this very solid, well-ripened, nicely filled effort is the more rewarding wine of the two. It is full in body and nicely focused on spicy, lightly peppery Syrah fruit, and it has the big shoulders and gutsy persona of a wine suited to service with hearty roasts and stews. We would allow for at least three or four years of age before drinking, but it has the pieces in place to grow for a good many more.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Cellar for future drinking. Wine will improve with bottle aging.
Longboard Vineyards Syrah Russian River 2005 and all other wine from Longboard Vineyards are available for immediate delivery and discounted prices from CheaperCigars.com. We also carry wide variety of wine from USA and across the globe.
Inspired by the wines of the Northern RhÔne region, our Russian River Valley Syrah is a spicy little number with an ocean spray-in-your face fresh balance of earthy and fruit notes. Lush, without being heavy, with licorice, blackberry and cola
