Try balance, harmony and nature for starters. Surfing is part sport, part meditation and all working within, rather than against, nature. Winemaking? Pretty similar approach. Both surfers and winemakers reach the summit of their respective crafts when they attain an understanding of, and a respect for, the environment in which they work (and play). Adapting to their surroundings, they achieve peak performance, on the waves and in the vineyards.
Best served ice cold - nice fruity finish.
External Reviews for Longboard Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Russian River Valley
This wine is lush with White Peach, Pomelo, and some Tangerine flavors and aromas that blend together to create a layeredcomplexity enrobed in a veil of freshness. Whether you are having a fresh green salad with fennel slices and pink grapefruitslices (one of my favorite summer starters) or a bowl of PEI mussels in broth, you will notice that the wine brings the flavors ofthe food together, and leaves the palate refreshed and yearning for more. The wine finishes with a delicate minerality andbalanced acidity that soothe the soul!Note: We firmly believe that tasting is a very subjective experience, influenced by one's mood, surroundings and individuality (some of us justLOVE black licorice, others cannot stand it). However, as wine producers, we are intimately involved with our wines and can give ourcustomers an idea of how this wine fits into our lineup and hope that you use our words as a guideline and not as an absolute definition of theoffering's flavor and aroma profile.
