Lokoya Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder(2003)

"The wine from Mount Veeder is built to last and this wine is no exception. Powerful blueberry, violet, mineral and coffee characters in the nose and on the palate combine with concentrated tannins and acid to give any wine enthusiast a true flavor experience."
Source: Vinfolio
"The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is the most backward of this impressive trio. Its blueberry, creme de cassis, floral, and roasted coffee-scented bouquet is followed by a wine with huge fruit, structure, concentration, and richness as well as a tannic, powerful finish. 94." WA 12/05

($175; all cabernet) Good medium ruby. An essence of cabernet on the nose, with blackberry, licorice and floral aromas complicated by an exotic suggestion of fruity tropical chocolate. Then large-scaled, fat and sweet in the mouth, with highly concentrated black raspberry and chocolate flavors. The powerful mountain tannins coat the front teeth. Like a cabernet syrup today, in need of at least seven or eight years of aging and likely to be long-lived.
