Lockhart Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Central Coast Estate 2011
Smooth, fruity, very enjoyable
Favorite Cabernet. It is a dry red and goes down so smooth. Highly recommend!
For $9.99 this varietal cab can't be beat.
I found a just open bottle at my son-in-law and gave it a try.I think it is not only smooth but has a full body taste with a lot of earthy flavor. It was good enough to make me do some research and I'm suprised at the price point.Great value
Had a glass at a fine eatery in Point Pleasant Beach, Just asked for the "house carbernet" and they brought this Lockhart 2009 to the table. Said it was a mixture of nappa and sonoma. Let me say I was more than pleasantly surprised. I have been a cabernet only wine man for the last 5 years and this has been the very best "house cabernet" that I have ever indulged. After doing some research I also find that the price makes it even better. Good for you Lockhart! Dan De Jianne Point Pleasant Beach
External Reviews for Lockhart Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Central Coast Estate
A leading california winery made this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and it's a gem. Aromas and flavors of bright cherry and cassis in a medium bodied palate with a long sweet finish.
Pours a saturated purple/garnet color. On the nose you are greeted with scents of cassis syrup, black cherry, warm stones, fragrant herbs and violets. The wine has great weight, but it's velvet-smooth and multi-layered. The finish is long, luscious and memorable. Incredibly appealing.
