Lo Duca Bros Mamertino Julius Caesar 2007
History records that when Julius Caesar was elected Counsel of Rome, he commissioned a special wine to be made in his honor of the occasion. He called this wine Mamertino, a delicious white wine with a slight natural sweetness and a touch of effervescence, a harmonious balance which makes it perfect for sipping and complements a wide variety of foods and desserts. The grapes used in producing this estate bottled Mamertino are Biancale and Trebbiano. Serve chilled. (Available in .750 L & 1.5 L) Wine List Description: A delicious white wine with a slight natural sweetness and a touch of effervescence.
A touch of spritz leads to a crisply acidic off dry white wine. Its not too sweet and notes of peach and honeysuckle dominate. There's a soft finish on a champagne sorbet flavor.
Had this at a dinner party, loved it but cannot find where to purchase. Help! email@example.com if any information
I love this wine! I wish I could find it in California. Everyone I have served it to has enjoyed it--from wine aficionados to wine virgins. It is great!
I tasted this sweet wine for the first time over the weekend and fould it to be the very flavor I was looking for in a white wine for after dinner and was supprised at the value in my purchase (under $10) I will be keeping a bottle or two on my shelf for friends and myself to share.
