Lo Duca Bros Mamertino Julius Caesar 2007
History records that when Julius Caesar was elected Counsel of Rome, he commissioned a special wine to be made in his honor of the occasion. He called this wine Mamertino, a delicious white wine with a slight natural sweetness and a touch of effervescence, a harmonious balance which makes it perfect for sipping and complements a wide variety of foods and desserts. The grapes used in producing this estate bottled Mamertino are Biancale and Trebbiano. Serve chilled. (Available in .750 L & 1.5 L) Wine List Description: A delicious white wine with a slight natural sweetness and a touch of effervescence.
A touch of spritz leads to a crisply acidic off dry white wine. Its not too sweet and notes of peach and honeysuckle dominate. There's a soft finish on a champagne sorbet flavor.
