Llano Estacado Winery Signature White 2010
We return to a Texas appellation with our 2010 Signature White. This wine has always been a perfect reception wine, and the 2010 vintage is no exception. Blended from Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, this lightly sweet wine is sure to please. The residual sugar balances perfectly with the crisp acidity, ensuring the fruity aromas of this wine entice the palate as well!
The simple mission of Llano Estacado, from its beginning in 1976 to its role as industry leader today, has been to embody the fabulous potential of Texas wines. This mission began with 1,300 cases of wine released in 1977. Today, Llano Estacado is the largest premium winery in the state of Texas, producing wines of world class quality, and taking the lead in introducing not just Texans, but the entire world, to the great wines made in Texas.
Served slightly chilled. Nice fruit in this wine with stone fruit and apple notes. Good balance with a medium-light body. A little sweetness but it was in balance with the rest of the wine and was not overwhelming. I think that this wine would pair well with a variety of different cuisines. This wine is quite affordable and I feel like it would be a real crowd-pleaser.
Long finish, fruity blush wine with almond, apple and pear fragrances. Pairs well with spicy food, especially Mexican, and is inexpensive. A couple of bottles go quickly among friends.
sweet and fruity with a slight bitter aftertaste. Tastes like alcoholic apple juice to me. The bitter aftertaste reminds me of raspberries. This wine is also 12% so it packs a punch.
Very smooth. Not to dry or to sweet. My favorite wine.
