User Reviews for Livio Felluga White Blend Collio Terre Alte

Winemaker's Notes:

Livio Felluga Terre Alte 2011 is a blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon. The Pinot and Sauvignon are aged in stainless steel tanks and the Friulano is aged in small French oak casks. After ageing for ten months, the wines are blended and aged in bottle for an additional 9 months. An intense straw yellow in color, this Italian white offers complex, intense aromas of exotic fruit, florals, bergamot, vanilla sugar, minerals, spice and sweet almond on the nose. On the palate, rich, savory, harmonious flavors with hints of sage, vanilla, rosemary and wet stone and a long finish."The landmark 2011 Rosazzo Terre Alte is a well-articulated, oak-aged blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon. This is a very special wine that offers one of the most authentic and important profiles of Friuli winemaking, specifically from the recently authorized Rosazzo DOCG. Soft tones of stone fruit and melon meld perfectly together with lingering after notes of crushed mineral, dried garden herb and lightly roasted almond. It’s a beautiful rendition that transports you directly to a sense of place." -eRobertParker.com (93+ Points)
