Winemakers Notes

The most widely planted varietal in the Friulia region, this white wine has a brilliant color of yellow with golden highlights. Its aroma is clean and crisp with fruit concentration ranging from tropical to apricot and orange peel, underlined by delicate floral notes.

Editorial Reviews

A fine balanced, if somewhat large scaled Tocai that combines the classic gently herbal aromatics with notes of melon, ruby red grapefruit pith and dry soil tones. In the mouth this is rich and offers up a fine core of almost peachy tones backed up by a nice earthy mineral notes. The finish is a touch short but stays true to the palate. Very refreshing and food friendly. 89pts

A bit of peach and apricot, nuts, nice thick mouthfeel sort of reminiscent of Chardonnay. A bit of grass, nice and warm. Good!

Beautifully complex nose of mint, chick pea and bay leaf. Thick, viscous oily character. Really well oaked. Beautiful

Stone and tropical fruits on the nose/mouth, mildly sweet with a smooth buttery texture. Would go well with shellfish.

Very good! Variety of fruit, mostly stone. Sweet finish, almost caramely for me.
