Little Creatures Pale Ale NV

Winemaker's Notes:

Little Creatures is a micro-brewery housed in an ex crocodile farm down by the water in Fremantle, Perth, Western Australia. As well as being a bustling, happening night spot serving great food, Little Creatures makes a pale ale to die for. Anyone who's been to Western Australia will have tried Little Creatures - it's a cult. For those of you who haven't been, you might like to know that this is a wine drinker's beer. The first brewer was none other than Janice McDonald of Stella Bella fame and Phil Sexton, the founder of Devil's Lair winery is also one of the directors of the brewery. So, given the synergies available on the marketing side, it seemed sensible to put Little Creatures in the same stable as Stella Bella - after all, no tasting of Aussie wine is complete without a beer or three to round it off. It is preservative and additive free and is live-yeast conditioned in bottles and kegs for unmatched freshness and character. From brewing to release, a batch of pale ale takes about six weeks, allowing for two weeks conditioning in the bottle after packaging. No artificial additives are included, just great ingredients. Outrageously aromatic, Little Creatures Pale Ale could be mistaken for Gewurtztraminer if you weren't looking at the inviting foamy head. One bottle and you're hooked on those intoxicating crisp citrus, grapefruit and passionfruit notes; tempted by the moreish bitterness on the finish. Pour it into a glass to enjoy it at its best!
