Brunello di Montalcino Ugolaia is a rich, potent Brunello, with suggestions of earthiness, tar and super-ripe fruit on a big, concentrated frame. It offers notable structure although it comes across as somewhat heavy-handed and one-dimensional, lacking the finesse of the estate’s best wines.
