Linne Calodo Slacker the Poseur 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

Yeah, we might agree that being a poseur, or acting like something you’re not, especially doing so with a snob attitude, is something that could get real old, real fast, like stadium anthem music, but we also think that there are times when being a poseur is pretty damn fun. Just think about the last time you traveled on the company’s dime. Perhaps you got bumped up to first-class by mistake, or arrived at the hotel in a luxury town car. Pretty sweet, huh? It’s easy to get ahead of yourself and begin acting like you actually run the company. “Finally, the universe gets it! ” you begin thinking. You stand taller as you walk through the lobby. You smartly avoid asking anyone what ‘continental breakfast’ means. When the hotel bar chatter leads to job titles, you say ‘Vice President of Sales’ instead of ‘Regional Sales Manager’ because, who knows, someday you might be. Are you a big deal? Maybe, or maybe not, but at this moment in time, at this lame conference, you are treated as if you are, which means the universe is practically begging you to be a poseur. So get poseuring and learn all there is to know about being a bigger deal.

Our name, Linne Calodo, describes the distinctive limestone soils of the west side of Paso Robles where our vineyards are located. We are proud to be creating unfined and unfiltered wines balanced through the blending of Rhone and Zinfandel varietals. Join the LINNE CALODO EXPERIENCE and secure your allocation of our limited production wines. The Linne Calodo wines are driven by four factors: vineyard location, uncompromising viticultural practices, minimalist winemaking, and the desire to learn from experience. The vineyards are farmed sustainably and the crop loads reflect the natural balance of the vine. We believe in harvesting at the peak of ripeness to produce wines that are rich and concentrated.
