The brilliant 2004 Sticks and Stones is a terrific example of what can be accomplished in this area. It boasts killer intensity as well as superb elegance, a striking minerality, and gorgeous black raspberry, framboise, cassis, kirsch, and blackberry... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Winemaker's Notes:

65% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre, 11% Syrah. The first thing you will notice about this wine is the extremely fragrant bouquet of violets followed by explosive aromas of fresh raspberries. The wine possesses both a fruity edge and a wild, gamey mid-palate. The natural acidity keeps this wine alive in the mouth and an abundance of both grape and barrel tannin allow this wine to linger on your senses. This wine is still very young and should age for 5-8 years
