Lindemans Pinot Noir Bin 99 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

To put it simply, Bins are the heart and soul of what Lindeman’s is today. These wines are made from special parcels of the highest-quality fruit, sourced from all over South Eastern Australia and skilfully blended to create a uniquely consistent wine. Traditionally, parcels of wine were stored separately in an area of the cellar, where each one was allocated a unique ‘Bin number’. Year after year, the same style wine parcels were allocated Bin numbers which were linked to the wine's style and differentiated only by vintage numbers to make sure nothing interfered with their expert blend. You’ll be glad to know the Bins’ philosophy of quality, consistency and fruity freshness is still our top priority.

Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

I had this Pinot Noir to have with my pasta dish at an Italian Restaurant, what a disappointment , it was an anemic wine,If the bottle had not being opened in front of us I would have guess someone had added water to dilute it, I had much better Pinot Noir .

Pretty typical of the South-East Australian Pinot Noirs I've encountered: smooth, berry, sweet; but Lindeman's Bin 99 is a bit closed for me. I want to give me something more, some more complexity. I want to get into this wine's pants, but it won't let me. Not a bad value at all though.

We get this wine at Traders Joes for $5.49!!!! At 549 this is a four glass wine. We love it for the price. If you paid twiced what we paid then of course it would be a two glass wine.

Vibrant, ripe, cherry red in color. Inviting aromas of sweet raspberry, dark cherry and bramble leaf on the nose. A delicate soft layer of sweet, red berry fruits overlays a subtle savoury layer of olives and bramble leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium weight with soft tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is of medium length with a clean, rich fruit finish. A great tasting Pinot!

Attractive cherry and strawberry flavors with a hint of rhubarb and soft rounded tannins.

Cherry and strawberry flavors with notes of rhubarb. This graceful Pinot Noir drinks well now, though its soft, rounded tannins hint at short term improvement in the cellar.

A supple, light Pinot with strawberry and cherry flavors, a chocolatey edge, and soft polished tannins.

The initially effusive nose of strawberries and caramel quiets rather quickly, replaced by cola and tree bark. Therersquo;s more of the same in the mouth, finishing with a stemmy note.

On the light side, with straightforward red berry and anise flavors, finishing clean and simple. Drink now.

A complex, cool climate Pinot Noir which features attractive fruit flavors, spicy oak and soft tannins.
