Lindemans Merlot South Australia 2007
The Lindemans Bin Series wines are made with fruit sourced from key grape growing regions in Australia. This ability of Lindemans to source and blend wines from different regions produces wine of a consistently outstanding quality regardless of varying vintage conditions. The generous flavors and contemporary, easy-drinking of Lindemans Bin 40 Merlot combines easily with food and most social occasions to deliver maximum enjoyment from the first glass to the last. This wine is sourced from premium wine regions across south east Australia. 2007 was a relatively early vintage, with low rainfall and warm weather contributing to an early budburst and flowering. Mild to warm weather throughout summer helped the fruit to mature well and rains at harvest allowed fruit to ripen well with good varietal character. Parcels of this wine were matured with French and American oak. Red and black berry aromas merge with touches of spice, vanilla and more chocolatey, earthy notes. A soft and elegant, medium bodied Merlot with delicious red berry flavors that are supported by darker, earthier tones. Maturation with oak adds a creamy, almost nutty complexity to the long, soft finish.
LINDEMANS® wines promise more than the partnering of quality grapes and craftsmanship. Every wine also contains the spirit and passion of our founder - Dr Henry J Lindeman.
