Lieb Cellars Cabernet Franc Reserve North Fork of Long Island 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2015 growing season presented some challenges and required a proactive vineyard management approach. A hot dry summer culminated in a period of heavy rainfall, humidity and some fungal pressure in late summer and early fall. We ripened clean fruit, however, and scored the harvest a B+. 2015 wines will be restrained and nuanced.

Light cherry and raspberry fruit aromas with a candied sugar quality and a hint of wildflower. Nicely fruited and pleasantly herbed on the palate, with dark raspberry and crispy cranberry fruit flavors, good fresh acidity and a palate that's light on its feet, a touch of blueberry and warming tannins on the finish.
