Liberty Creek Merlot Merlot California United States 2007
Wine Advocate # 175 Feb 2008 Robert Parker 92 Drink 2008 - 2023 The 2004 Cote Rotie La Mouline has put on weight, and is no longer as herbaceous as it was at birth. Its dark plum/ruby color is accompanied by sweet aromas of licorice, charcoal, graphite, lychee nuts, and red and black fruits. This soft, round Cote Rotie can be drunk now or cellared for 12-15 years.
This is the best of the cheap Sweet Red Wines. If you want a great quality wine that gives you more for your money, this is it!
The Sweet Red is a blend of red wines that yield a strong fresh fruit taste. The nose and palate include rich, ripe fruits like cherry and boysenberry with other sweet berry notes. This wine has a silky smooth finish and is best enjoyed chilled. At a reasonable alcohol content of 10% it pairs perfectly with everyday foods, such as burgers, pizza, chili and hot chicken wings.
very very good , a pleasant surprise for this price the taste is lovely,i enjoyed it very much
Nice sweet taste with a big punch i like it.
Not beimg great wine drinker, my wife and I sampled Liberty Creeks Sweet Red and have been hooked ever since.. we do have a problem getting it ,in Mountain Home Arkansas or West Plains Missouri, maybe Walmart could promote it more....or some of the local liquor stores...
