Lewis Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 2009
From the summit of Mt. Veeder comes Lewis' second-ever, high-wattage bottling of Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is barrel-fermented in stainless steel and French oak, undergoing zero malolactic fermentation. Spicy ripe lime, mandarin orange and gooseberry fruits are strung with wisteria blossom, custard and key lime piecrust. Satiny rich and round, with complex mineral, stone, pineapple rind and zesty lime acidity. 275 cases produced.
In 1992, Debbie and Randy Lewis established a small family winery with their son Dennis. Total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah. We are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales and distribution, and we thrive on this challenge and the relationships we cultivate in the process. It is our continuing goal to create world class wines.
