Lewis Cellars Chardonnay Sonoma County 2002

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine shows fantastic complexity and richness. It's so "lifted and hi-toned," in the words of a Master Sommelier friend, "it's like Corton-Charlemagne." The nose delivers a broad array of aromas from lime skin, pear and crème brulée to nutty and nuanced with slate and mineral. The palate is rich and round, deeply fruited yet deft and lively with silken texture, perfect acidity, and a finish with the length and persistence of a distance runner

Lewis Cellars:
In 1992, Debbie and Randy Lewis established a small family winery with their son Dennis. Total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah. We are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales and distribution, and we thrive on this challenge and the relationships we cultivate in the process. It is our continuing goal to create world class wines.
