Levendi Cabernet Sauvignon Sweetwater Ranch Napa Valley 2008
This wine is 6 years old now and still huge, but well balanced with respect to tannin/acidity/glycerin/fruit. I tasted it over 5 days left on the counter at 70 degrees, corked. No decrease in intensity, and marked improvement in taste/smell/feel. This wine will age for a long time, though with food, at present, it is wonderful. A great bargain at 26 dollars--were I younger, I would wish for more than the 4 I have remaining.Add winemaker's notes

Tasting from 375 ml bottle. Nice classic color. Interesting nose with winter spices, dark berries, and some green pepper. The pepper moves on to the palate along with plum and cassis. Oak toast is present in the finish, but not too prevalent. That goes to some very nice wild mint and dried cranberries and really long juicy acid that lingers even after the fruit has disapated.
If you like Napa Cab, Levendi would be hard to beat in its price range. lucas2100

The Greek toast "Levendi" acknowledges a hard day's labor and achievement. It celebrates the fields, the rain and the sun that nurture our special grapes. Essentially, it's a toast "to celebrate life."
Deep, dark purple in appearance. Lovely vanilla sandalwood notes with plum and wild cherry on the nose. Rich and mouth-filling with friendly flavors of plum and black fig fruit. Topped only by a luxurious finish of dark chocolate.
From the Stagecoach vineyard high on the eastern volcanic ridge above Napa, comes this rich and decadent, limited production Cabernet Sauvignon. The vivid red soils and rocky slopes come together to produce a wine with an aroma of sweet blackberry and cassis fruit that carries over into a superbly balanced and polished palate. Surrounded by a refined structure of the finest French oak, this Cabernet Sauvignon drinks well now and boasts the refined tannins that give it strong promise for years to come. Mountain sage and blackberry on the nose. A meticulous blend of ripe black cherry fruit, blackberry and cassis.
