Les Vins de Vienne Hermitage les Chirats de St.-Christophe 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

St Christophe is an old name for the Hermitage hill and chirats refers to thepiles of stones found on this terroir. Les Vins de Vienne source this excellentSyrah from some of the best sites, mostly in higher vineyards to the west ofthe appellation. Polished, with sweet blackberry fruit complementing mineralityand oaky finesse, it displays a hint of raw energy, as befits a top Hermitage.
