Les Quatre Tours Classique Rose 2013

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

70% Grenache, 30% Syrah. Soil of marl and chalk located in the hillsides of the Trevaresse chain. Hot micro-climate, tempered by the Mistral-wind and the altitude. A classic Provençal rosé: pink salmon color, crisp and delicate nose with persistent raspberry/ blackberry fruit plus floral and citrus notes (pink grapefruit). Well balanced with a refreshing, crisp acidity. Solid presence but totally light on its feet. Pair with salads or light appetizers, pâté, white meat, poached or grilled fish.

Bright orange-pink. Fresh red berries, anise and chalky minerals on the fragrant nose. Nervy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors gain depth with air and pick up a hint of lavender. Spreads out on the juicy finish, which is firmed by zesty minerality and a hint of berry skin.

Properly light in color, this is crisp, fruity and deliciously fresh. Some weight comes from ripe strawberry fruits as well as touches of vanilla. The acidity at the end brings refreshment.

Plump, with strawberry, mango and peach notes and a creamy, broad feel through the finish. A flattering rosé. Drink now.
