Jean-Hubert Delon is not lacking in passion or discipline, as proved by the vintages of the last twenty-five years. Belonging to the Saint-Julien appellation, this wine is unquestionably one of the best.

Reviews for 1981 Vintage
750ml bottle from KLWines. Decantered for 5 min, then into the glass. The wine was wonderfully musty. In my inexperience the only thing I can say it reminded me of was a well prepared grilled Portobello mushroom. It peaked in 12 min or so, at which point it was very smooth, but it started to break down and became a bit harsh by 15 min, at which point i hurried up with my last few sips.
Lovely, round and soft with a good backbone of ripe tannins. Very aromatic, featuring plum, spice and cherry character. Full body and a lovely cedar, fruit finish.--The Bordeaux 50. (JS) Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1981 Leoville-Las Cases 750ml
