Leonetti Sangiovese Walla Walla Valley 1998
Produced from the nearly perfect growing season of 1998, our Sangiovese Walla Walla valley is a dark ruby wine with an incredible nose of balsam, ripe cherry, and spice. The palate impression is soft and gratifying, accentuated by crisp acidity and integrated oak flavors followed by a lingering finish. although our Sangiovese is always very food-friendly, We feel that this wine can stand alone against any Sangiovese-based wine produced in the world today.
Each of our vineyard solis shape the wine that comes from it. This is the essence of terroir. The soil of Seven Hills at the south end of the Valley is Ellisford Silt Loam.
