Leonetti Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley Reserve 2003
This wine has a beautiful and deeply saturated purplish-red hue. A deep, brooding nose reveals black fruits, rose petals, and a penetrating mix of other floral notes with perfectly ripe sweet fruit, blackberries, and plums. Secondary notes of vanilla cream, toasty French oak, earth, minerals, and tobacco reveal themselves with time in the glass. The mouthfeel is wonderfully dense, with ripe chalky tannins and a seamless, persistent finish. A wonderfully complex wine that will undoubtedly evolve and offer drinking pleasure for the next two decades or more.
Each of our vineyard solis shape the wine that comes from it. This is the essence of terroir. The soil of Seven Hills at the south end of the Valley is Ellisford Silt Loam.
