Delicious. Drink now or in the next couple years. Tannins are ultra smooth, but the acid is still strong, but not over the top. wine still has a backbone. Very rich plums, dark cherries, cocoa and leather, with a little rose petals. Awesome wine.

Enjoyed this on 11/1/08. Based on Parker's guidelines, 2004 was the outer limit...so I was a bit apprehensive. However, the wine is still fabulous. Great nose, not very flowery, but provocative and distinctive. Full on the palate, light tannins and easy drinking. Went well with the pork dish I had.

Dark as night. An absolutely explosive nose of ripe red and black fruits, licorice, coffee, cassis and pine boughs. Palate is gorgeously plush, rich, dense, long, and loaded with fruit. Tannin is smooth and ripe, finish lasts forever. A very flamboyant ye

Our Cabernet is very dark to the rim and has a complex aroma of cinnamon toast, red and black fruits, Christmas spices, nutmeg, coffee, and a hint of gun powder. On the palate it has very long, fine-grained, slightly chalky tannins, perfect acid balance, and a beautiful glycerin feeling that gives it tremendous length in its finish.

A deep-pile, plush carpet of a Cabernet, from Washington, this is smooth and velvety, with layer upon layer of juicy blackberry, prune, plum, spice and vanilla flavors that linger beautifully and get richer with each sip. Tempting now, but best from 2002 or so.

Deep ruby-red. Highly aromatic, floral aromas of black plum, cassis, mulberry, toffee, coffee and licorice. Round, lush and sweet on entry, then pliant and chewy in the middle, with captivating sweetness. Densely packed and structured yet light on its feet. A real essence of cabernet, and very long on the finish. This may well merit an even higher score with three or four more years of bottle aging.

Though the 2001 was exceedingly tannic, the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is superb. Its cassis liqueur, blackberry, and spice aromas lead to a juicy, fresh, hugely ripe personality of exceptional purity and length. Blackberries, black currants, and dark cherries vie with spices and oak for the taster's attention. A complex, highly expressive, vibrant wine with a delightfully long, suave finish, it is a candidate for drinking over the next 10-14 years.
