We didn’t take a typical route to entering the wine business, (if such a path actually exists!). Pinot noir is often a passion that finds you as much as you find it. As you may realize, however, once it’s got a hold of you, there’s no turning back. We came to the world of wine from many different backgrounds: environmental policy, information technology, delivering babies , and several other professions, including wine wholesaling. Like other Pinot fanatics, we love what we do, and believe that our wines reflect our dedication to our craft. We also live and work as an extended family in our vineyards and in the winery. For several months during harvest, we see each other more than we see our spouses and children! We try to remember to give thanks throughout for the blessings of good land, good friends, and good work, and we definitely appreciate the beauty of Western Oregon on a daily basis! Herein are a few details about Who We Are. Read less

Light purple color with a palate of fresh clean red berry tones of strawberry and raspberry and some light smoke. The palate is similar with some cedar tartness and light pepper spice on the finish.

One of my favorite Oregon Pinots. It is not a massive Pinot like Argyle makes, but it is not super subtle like many of the Oregon Pinots can be. Smooth and balanced, finesse with structure. Pair with a lighter dish; lemon chicken would pair well.

Sourced from the winery’s certified-organic estate vineyards, this value selection shows complex aromatics with tea, berry, baking spices, fennel and a touch of clean earth. Moderately dense, it’s perfectly balanced with pretty, supple red fruits and ripe, textured tannins.

Bright ruby-red. Black raspberry, cherry pit, peppery spices and licorice on the nose and palate. Silky, broad and open-knit, with hints of candied flowers and smoke emerging with aeration. Finishes supple and gently sweet, leaving notes of allspice and bitter cherry behind. I find this expressive pinot very approachable now.

A blend of Pinot Noir from seven vineyards, the Lemelson Thea's shows the character of the 2010 vintage. The winemaker's believe this is the most age-worthy blend to date.

The palate is medium-full now with blackberry and raspberry on the sweetly fruited mid-palate. The long, juicy finish has nice flow, moderate tannins and a very pretty, sweet red fruit impression persisting on the palate.

The Pinot Noir portfolio begins with the entry-level 2006 Pinot Noir Thea's Selection. Medium ruby-colored, it exhibits a nose of earth notes, cherry, and raspberry. Supple-textured and easy-going, the wine is well-balanced, lengthy, and has no hard edges. Drink it over the next four years.

Dark and crisp, with a biting edge to the blackberry and blackberry leaf aromas and flavors, finishing with a smoky note. Best from 2009 through 2014.

Winemaker Eric Lemelson crafts this blend by choosing the most plush, fruit-forward barrels from all six of his organically farmed estate vineyards. The resulting wine, named for his mother, Dorothy, is meant for early drinking. The 2004 vintage suffered rain in June, which ultimately led to low flowering and small yields, concentrating the fruit flavors.
