Leitz Dragonstone Riesling 2007

Fantastic wine - very well priced. A mineral nose, with peaches opens. Its got searing acidity, thats well balanced by a little residual sugar. Very well balanced, resulting in a lively wine. Nicely mineral, and emollient with more peaches on an extended finish.

Served with a steak salad, but would pair with Quiche, salads, sandwiches / picnics or even spicy Asian foods.

Ripe aromas of stone fruits abound with good acidity and a nice finish. Try this as an apéritif or simply to cleanse your palate any time. No matter what the vintage, Leitz always expresses it.

The latest installment of a proverbial hit, Leitz's 2007 Rudesheimer Drachenstein Riesling Dragonstone continues (as its full name demonstrates) to come from a single vineyard, one from which by now Leitz takes a significant percentage of the crop. There has never been a better example of the electric intensity and uncanny balance Leitz is able to achieve in this site between taut, invigorating acidity and a high level of residual sugar that comes off as barely sweet. Zesty lime, peach, pink grapefruit, and red currant ally themselves to cinnamon spice, salts, and wet stones, and finish read more...with simultaneous penetration and delicacy.
