What to Expect

Sémillon is one of the grapes traditionally used to produce both dry and sweet white wines in Bordeaux. When bottled on its own the wine produced is rich and full with deep flavors of melon, fig, pineapple and apricot featuring gentle, earthy, spice tones and a subtle vegetal undercurrent.

Winemakers Notes

A blend of 64% Sauvignon and 36% Semillon aromas of honeyed making passion fruit ripe figs and gooseberries jump from the glass of this aromatic perfumed white. It builds incrementally into a powerful medium to full bodied ripe yet zesty beverage with laser-like precision. This beauty is best consumed over the next several years. 91 points. R. Parker

The nose here was very complex with a deep, pith quality to the citrus fruit tones that were underlayed with classic notes of grass, jalapeno and gooseberry. In the mouth this starts out focused and rather crisp before filling out across the midplate with quince, grapefruit and passionfruit tones that lead to a tactile, almost slightly tannic finish with good mineral cut and fine, sneaky length. this has just lovely balance, complexity and mouthfeel and is a bargain at this price. 92pts
