L'Ecole No. 41 Merlot Columbia Valley 1999

Winemaker's Notes:

The Merlot in this blend is from several premium vineyards, including Klipsun, Willard Farms, Sagemoor, Wahluke Slope Vineyards, Pepper Bridge Vineyards, Portteus, Yakima Bend Ranch, and Forgotten Hills. For complexity, small quantities of Seven Hills Vineyard Cabernet Franc, and Bacchus and Wahluke Slope Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon were blended. This 1999 Merlot has a spicy and vibrant nose with hints of eucalyptus and black cherry, enveloped in a bright red berry and soft vanilla finish.
