L'Ecole No. 41 Sémillon Fries Vineyard(1999)

Variety: 100% Semillon, Fries Desert Wind Vineyard, Wahluke Slope

Description: This crisp and viscous wine shows floral and honeysuckle aromas, with flavors of candied
pear, vanilla crème brulee, spicy ginger and nutmeg.
Vinification: The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and allowed to settle in tank. The juice
was then racked off the solids into new and second year French oak barrels
where it was then inoculated with Prise de Mousse yeast. It completed a slow
but steady primary fermentation followed by secondary malolactic
fermentation. read more...
