What to Expect

Riesling is a chameleon of a grape, able to produce world class wines that range from bone dry to unctuously sweet. Germany is most closely associated with Riesling, where all styles are made and the range of flavors runs the gamut from steely and crisp with crunchy mineral-driven flavors to fresh lime, apple and peach flavored expressions - even rich honied, candied fruit tones in the great dessert wines.

Editorial Reviews

Clean, crisp and bracing in classic Australian style this has bright and precise flavors of citrus fruits, flowers and crushed green leaves. This offers up an intensity and length that really sets this apart. Succulent and delicious. 91pts

Pale straw with green hues and brilliant clarity, this Bin 7 Riesling exhibits lifted spicy aromas of kaffir lime and spice. The palate is very fine, tight and concentrated with fleshy citrus fruit, mouthwatering acidity and a long crisp finish. Exhibiting balanced texture and layers of fruit flavor. A perfect match with freshly shucked oysters or whole baked fish.

#44 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2008 In its inaugural release, the 2006 Magnus Riesling displays all the hallmarks of fine Clare Valley Riesling; juicy acidity, lemony citrus and fullness of flavor. The palate shows fresh punchy citrus fruit balanced out by delicious, tangy acidity, and finishes long and refreshing. Impressive for its harmony and seamless structure, offereing a joyous mouthful of lemon curd, quince and lime. 91 Points -Wine Spectator
