Le Drunk Rooster Grenache 2007

External Review by CoolVines:

In France, the rooster (le coq) is a symbol of national pride derived from the multiple translations of Gallus (Gaul for France, and rooster.) The Bourgeois family created this cuvee in homage to the bird, heralded as a vigilant creature, always crowing at the rising of the sun each morning. The name is also symbolic of the simple lifestyle of the French peasantry. This bio-dynamically farmed, scrumptous red from winemaker Jerome Bourdier is crafted from 25-year old vine fruit.
