lots of licorice on the nose, along with some fruit and hints of bacon. great mouth-feel, very silky and smooth. light tannins and acid. awesome fruit flavors along with some notes of wood and Amedei Porcelana chocolate. a really good, easy-drinking wine. highly recommended... especially for $10.

Winemaker's Notes:

The grapes are harvested by hand at their ripest with the intention of producing a well-balanced maturity. The vinification process occurs in stainless steel tanks w/ automatic pumping and vats, the intention being that, regardless of the process used, the quality constituents that are present in the skins of the mature grapes are passed smoothly to the wine itself. After gentle crushing and total destemming, the fermentation occurs with light homogenization, controlled temperature and prolonged macerations, in this way enabling a superior aromatic and polyphenolic extraction. Lavradores de Feitoria tinto 2005 DOC tinto 2005 Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional /Touriga Franca /Tinta Roriz / Tinta Barroca Production: Production Technology: The grapes are harvested by hand at their ripest with the intention of producing a well-balanced maturity. Tasting Notes: a live red colour, very young. Its aroma is fine and elegant, but nevertheless with a predominating character of very mature red fruit. The palate is smooth and elegant, showing a balanced acidity, a high presence of fruit, soft tannin, with a fine and very tasty finish.
