Lavradores de Feitoria Red Blend Douro Meruge 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes: Rated 86 POINTS in Purple Pages by Jancis Robinson, March 2008. "The 2005 "TRES BAGOS" opens with a rush of fruit, but it is mostly the velvety texture that gets your attention as the mid-palate is rather modest. It takes an hour or so for the flavors to become apparent, at which time the wine has a lot more charm than seemed apparent, but it does thin out. It is very bright, and there is a certain raspberry nuance as it airs out. The structure provides some grip, and the wine's intensity and flavor combine to make it more interesting than it might seem at first taste. Drink now-2013." in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate by Mark Squires, December 2007. Percentage Grape: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca Type of Wood: French and American oak Alcohol Percentage: 13.5 % PH: 3,80 Total Acidity: 5,04 g/l
