Editorial Reviews for L'Aventure Roussanne
Light lemon yellow color; lovely, tart peach, citrus nose; tasty, rich, poised, tart peach, mineral palate; medium-plus finish (87% Roussanne, 13% Grenache Blanc) 92 points
Wool, soil, vanilla, and peachy fruity aromas initially fill the glass. With some air the fruit takes on a greengage plum tone and toasty, caramelly accents. In the mouth this is pretty well balanced with super acids keeping the richness in check. Still very young, this has a nice mineral driven grab on the mid-palate before relaxing into a honied peach not on the moderately long finish. 88pts
Nice. Fruity and not too acidic.
Light fruity aromas, lightly oaked. Flavors have a hint of sweetness, some toasted oak, fresh acidity and a wooded finish. Hints of pineapple.
Rich butterscotch nose with almond flavors. Very oaky up front. Incredibly emollient mouth feel - very rich and filling. Rich and warm throughout, the wine was verging on overpowering (almost, but it managed to stay on the right side of things). Served with seared scallops.
