Wool, soil, vanilla, and peachy fruity aromas initially fill the glass. With some air the fruit takes on a greengage plum tone and toasty, caramelly accents. In the mouth this is pretty well balanced with super acids keeping the richness in check. Still very young, this has a nice mineral driven grab on the mid-palate before relaxing into a honied peach not on the moderately long finish. 88pts

Rich butterscotch nose with almond flavors. Very oaky up front. Incredibly emollient mouth feel - very rich and filling. Rich and warm throughout, the wine was verging on overpowering (almost, but it managed to stay on the right side of things). Served with seared scallops.

The brilliant 2007 Roussanne from the estate vineyards is a gorgeous example of this varietal. Honeysuckle, lemon blossom, sealing wax, tropical fruit, and rose petal-like characteristics appear in this gorgeously proportioned, full-bodied, slightly ... Robert Parker. A Roussanne wine from California in USA. 2007 Aventure, L Roussanne 750ml
