A very pleasant champagne, medium bodied, subtle almond and white bread hints, citrus fruits are apparent, pears, well balanced and not too intense in acidity like some champagnes can be. Thoroughly enjoyable

I have to say that Laurent-Perrier is simply not my style of Champagne. It is very light and crisp but lacks the fruity flavour that I enjoy in other non-vintage champagnes such as Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial and Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Yellow Label. Perhaps you will enjoy this much more than I did but for me this is severely overpriced.

Very vibrant, crisp, brilliantly sweet-but-not-too wine we had at the restaurant moto in chicago.

Chardonnay, is the dominant grape variety and its proportion is unusually high for a non-vintage champagne blend, being double the average. The blend is made of wines from more than 55 crus or villages and between 10 and 20% of reserve wines are used. Aged on its lees for approximately 3 years and only a very light dosage is used to preserve its balance and natural freshness.

A plump Champagne with a little tension to its broad, pleasantly sweet flavors, this is a soft wine to chill for aperitifs. Wine & Spirits. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Laurent-Perrier Brut 1500ml

This lightly-sweet Champagne was identical to their Brut NV version until the dosage was added to the wine. This is made from equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with 20% Pinot Meunier. Just gently sweet and perfect for two in this half bottle.

The color is a pale golden hue, with fine and persistent bubbles. The nose is fresh and delicate, showing good complexity with hints of citrus and white fruit. Its perfect balance, crispness of flavors and finesse also make it the ideal companion for fish, poultry and white meat.

A lean, bracing version, with lemon, grapefruit and yeast notes. This is dry, but stingy in flavor and richness, with a mineral finish. Best from 2010 through 2013.

A fine bead in the glass, it shows a bit more warm, round fruit than in previous bottling, leading into a slightly bitter finish of citrus rind, lime zest and wet stone.

Almost dry, with the freshest of apple and grapefruit characters, a lively layer of mineral and lime, and a delicate character. This is a crisply delicious, aperitif style of Champagne.

Winemaker's Notes:

ASPECT Pale gold in colour with fine and persistent bubbles. AROMA Delicate and fresh, with good complexity and notes of citrus and with fruit. TASTE Fresh and supple upon entry with rounded and expressive flavours from which the fruit progressively emerges. Good balance and length. SERVING Serve between 8°C and 10°C. Brut L-P fresh and elegant style has been a major factor in the success of champagne as an apéritif. Its remarkable balance, finesse and freshness also make it the perfect match for the fine fish dishes and delicate seafood, as well as white meat and poultry. GRAPE VARIETIES Chardonnay 45%, Pinot Noir 40%, Pinot Meunier 15%. (Chardonnay proportion is double the average in Champagne.) CRUS The blend is made of wines from more than 55 crus or villages with an average vineyard rating of an impressive 94%. At least 10%, and sometimes over 20% of reserve wines are also used to ensure perfect consistency in the Brut L-P. WINE MAKING AND AGING Brut L-P is aged on its lees for approximately three years - whereas the requirement is only 15 months in Champagne. Only a very light dosage (12 grams per litre) is used to preserve its balance and natural freshness. After dosage, all Laurent-Perrier's wines are cellared for a further three months prior to shipping.
