Laurent-Perrier Brut(NV)

While champagne shows the character of a specific harvest, non-vintage brut exemplifies the style of a particular House. Freshness, elegance and balance, all of which are typical of Laurent-Perrier's wines, are found in the Brut L-P year after year.

Chardonnay, is the dominant grape variety and its proportion is unusually high for a non-vintage champagne blend, being double the average. The flagship of Laurent-Perrier, which embodies the House style: deliciously fresh and easy to drink. The blend is composed of over 55 different Crus (with an average 94% rating). After being aged for over three years, 'Liqueur d'expedition' is added and the champagne is matured for a further six months. The result is a delicate yet complex nose, with hints of citrus fruit, and a good balanced palate. Perfect as an aperitif, is also goes very well with food. Alcohol: 12% by volume

I have to say that Laurent-Perrier is simply not my style of Champagne. It is very light and crisp but lacks the fruity flavour that I enjoy in other non-vintage champagnes such as Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial and Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Yellow Label. Perhaps you will enjoy this much more than I did but for me this is severely overpriced.

Laurent Perrier Brut Champagne NV KOSHER (KFP)One of our favorite Champagne producer's Laurent Perrier was among the first to market a Kosher Champagne. Intense Chardonnay fruit supported by bracing acidity and richness.
