Laurent Charles Brotte Gigondas 2009

Member Review by ttutony:

The wine was poured and allowed to breathe for approximately half an hour which really helped to open up the wine and bring the fruit aroma forward. Hints of pepper, spice, and wood were also detectable in the bouquet. The wine had a balanced flavor with fruit notes and a slight spiciness. Probably not the best example of Gigondas out there but for the price (~$17) I think this is a pretty good bottle to try if you are a fan of Rhone wines.
