WINEMAKERS NOTES - 2004 LAUREL GLEN Since 2001, every vintage (with the exception of 2005) has been at least a week earlier than our 30 year average, and one of them, the 2004 vintage, came in an amazing two weeks earlier. I don't know whether it was because of the unusually early harvest or not, but the resulting wine is big scaled and displays very ripe fruit with strong supporting acidity and great minerality.
