Dark, firm, intense and rustic, with a chewy tannin edge. The core black cherry, currant and wild berry flavors are fresh and compact, exhibiting depth and complexity and finishing with a tight core of fruit and tannin and a long, persistent finish that shows a slightly, chalky edge. Best from 2006 through 2012. 899 cases made.

Still in the throws of youth. Bright ruby color with violets and cocoa on the nose. The barest hint of mint unfolds into summer blackberry, warm liquorice, edged with dark cocoa nibs. A challenging year, requiring a lot of hard work in the vineyard, this was a vintage close to Campbell's heart. The fruit of his efforts are in the glass.
