2. 2007 las perdices Malbec – Mendoza – Color: More purple, Nose: a little musty, Taste: “Floral” – Wanda, “Candy, toffee” – Hector (dude is on a candy trip tonight…whatever), blackberries, dark fruit, low tannins, yet finish is rough, harsh, short lasting Lamarr: B to B- (based on my tastes, finish a bit to harsh for me, fruit is there upfront, but finish still rough, alas, perhaps that is Malbec’s nature) Hector: B, a high B (I like it, peppery in the middle, a little fruity but fruit as in Willy Wonka, it’s like chocolate and gumdrops)

From Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Argentina, this 100% Malbec has Intense purple red color that is soft in mouth, balanced, plum and cherry notes. Ideally this wine would be served with red meat, pasta, and fish.
