TANK SAMPLE Full disclosure: Tasted at the vineyard on a beautiful day tranquil day, sublime setting and a private tour of the facilities. With that said... 100% cab. Lots of structure. Very deep dark fruits with chocolate notes too.

Winemaker's Notes:

94 points Robert Parker: The prodigious 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Solari Reserve (a 525-case cuvee of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot) is a gorgeous wine. The 2006 blends hadn’t been made, hence weren’t tasted, but this 2005, which is in bottle, has a dense purple color and a glorious nose of graphite, creme de cassis, tar, and hints of spicy, subtle toast. The wine is dense, medium to full-bodied, with impressive purity, texture, and length (45-50 second for sure). This is a beauty of elegance and substance that should be at its best between 2012 and 2030. (Dec 2007)
