L'Arco Rubeo Veronese IGT 2007

Member Review by Eric Guido:

On the nose, I found dried black cherries, plum, dark chocolate, potpourri, and crushed fall leaves. On the palate, it was silky with a hint of sweetness as dried fruits mixed with sweet spices, citrus rind and hints of dark wood. Vibrant acidity kept it from leaning too far to the sweet side and provided textural contrasts on the palate. Tannin lingered into the finish with cherry fruit and hints of pepper. This is a wine that demands time open in bottle, or a decanter, to truly shine.
