The Madiran comes from 4 grape varieties: Tannat (minimum 50%), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Fer Fervadou. It is tannins rich, concentrated and structured. It musts be ageing minimum 12 months before the bottling. Their typical aromas are spicy (licorice, pepper), fruity (black fruits, blueberry, blackcurrant) and smoked (coffee, brown tobacco). It should be drink young if it has been decanted 3-4 hours before but you can keep it 8 to 15 years.
