Lanson Champagne Brut Vintage Collection 1988

Winemaker's Notes:

94 points Richard Juhlin: 51% Pinot Noir, 49% Chardonnay (May 2011). Disgorged December 2013. The Lanson 1988 displays a copper gold colour. Very ripe yellow fruit and heady flower aromas are very evident. On the palate, the initial up-front impact develops into a wine with good structure with a lingering aroma of ripe fruit complexity. The finish shows great purity and remarkable vivacity, displaying the hallmark Lanson Style in this great vintage. Recommended pairings include cheese, and in parcular aged Comté or a very ripe Gruyère d'Alpage. Villages: Avize, Oger, Chouilly, Bouzy, Verzenay, Ay.
